Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and efficient Receiving Clerk for our facility in Madison, Wisconsin. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely receiving of all incoming goods. This includes unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly logging received items into our inventory system. Your attention to detail and commitment to following established procedures are crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting our supply chain operations. You will play an important role in ensuring that our warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently, with a strong emphasis on safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks using appropriate equipment.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect incoming products for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
  • Accurately record received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Tag and stage incoming materials for put-away or further processing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
  • Support the overall logistics operations of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using scanning equipment and inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the consistent use of PPE.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
