Job Summary:
San Antonio, Texas, needs a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and optimize our warehouse operations. This role involves a variety of tasks focused on ensuring the smooth functioning of our logistics hub, including equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and process support. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude, a strong understanding of warehouse safety, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be key in ensuring our facility operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, palletizers).
  • Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse facility to identify and address potential hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Support other warehouse functions as needed, such as material handling or inventory checks.
  • Keep the warehouse environment clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, warehouse technician, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
