Job Summary:
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is looking for a sharp and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse management team. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory levels. You will conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement process improvements to optimize inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement procedures to enhance inventory accuracy and control.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on aging or slow-moving inventory.
  • Manage the process for damaged or returned goods, ensuring proper disposition.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations, purchasing, and sales departments to resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely when necessary for inventory tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements and adjustments.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar logistics role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on occasion.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
