We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is essential for our daily logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for retrieving items from inventory, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining a high level of accuracy. You'll work with a dedicated team in a dynamic warehouse environment. Key responsibilities include using picking equipment, verifying order details, and ensuring items are packed correctly to prevent damage during transit. Your contribution directly impacts customer satisfaction. Safety is our top priority; therefore, strict adherence to all safety protocols and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is expected. This position involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs. We provide thorough training on safe lifting techniques and the proper use of all equipment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products for customer orders using scanning devices.
- Verify order accuracy against picking lists.
- Package products securely, ensuring they are protected during shipping.
- Label packages correctly and prepare them for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Properly utilize and maintain required PPE.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse machinery as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Commitment to safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to stand and move for the duration of the shift.
- Dependable and punctual.
