Join our team as a Warehouse Technician in Jacksonville, Florida, where you'll play a key role in maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse facility. This position involves a blend of hands-on technical skills and warehouse operations, focusing on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with general warehouse tasks. You'll be responsible for ensuring our machinery and systems are functioning optimally, contributing to a seamless logistics process. Safety is paramount, and we require strict adherence to all Safety protocols and the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, coordinating with external technicians when necessary.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of warehouse machinery and tools.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Support general warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Safety regulations and company policies.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Contribute to improving warehouse efficiency through technical expertise and process suggestions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in basic tool usage and maintenance procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace Safety, including a thorough understanding of PPE requirements.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and occasional Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
