We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets, meticulously packing them for shipment, and ensuring all outgoing packages meet quality standards. This role requires a strong focus on efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience with RF scanners is a plus. We emphasize safety in all our operations, and adherence to all safety protocols is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack products securely and efficiently, using appropriate packaging materials to ensure safe transit.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed to move inventory.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
