Seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our bustling warehouse in Huntsville, Alabama! As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in our logistics operations by accurately retrieving products for customer orders. Your day-to-day activities will involve navigating the warehouse, locating specified items using pick lists or electronic devices, and ensuring the correct quantity and item are selected. Accuracy and speed are key to success in this role, as you'll be contributing directly to timely order fulfillment. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where adherence to Safety protocols is paramount. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure your well-being. This role requires the ability to perform frequent Lifting of items, often weighing up to 50 pounds, and involves extended periods of standing and walking. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick lists or use electronic scanning devices to locate items.
- Retrieve correct products and quantities from warehouse shelves.
- Ensure accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all warehouse Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Engage in regular Lifting and moving of product.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and frequent Lifting.
- Commitment to following Safety guidelines and wearing PPE.
