We are seeking an organized and efficient Order Picker to join our vibrant logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently by selecting items from warehouse stock. Your precision and speed will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our distribution operations. - Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists and scanning devices.
- Locate and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product conditions before picking.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Follow all established Safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stocktaking as needed.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or operational issues to supervision promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in an order picking or warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels accurately.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- A strong understanding of and adherence to Safety best practices in a logistics setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
