Are you an experienced Material Handler seeking a new challenge? Our San Diego, California facility is looking for a skilled individual to manage the flow of goods within our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and organized efficiently and safely. You will operate various equipment, maintain inventory accuracy, and contribute to a smooth-running warehouse environment. - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Pick and stage materials for production or outbound shipments.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE and proper material handling techniques.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation.
- Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in operating various warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and WMS.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting and moving of heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
- Excellent Safety consciousness and a commitment to following procedures.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.
