Job Summary:
Our Los Angeles, California facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse management team. This vital role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory system. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, reconciling discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels. A strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols are essential. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage and optimize inventory storage locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other tools to track inventory movements and status.
  • Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) and manage expiration dates for relevant products.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE .
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics and supply chain operations.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles, WMS, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds, standing, and walking.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
