We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise is vital to the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse and distribution center, directly supporting our Logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport products from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform regular inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues.
- Accurately count and document inventory movements.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Use appropriate PPE at all times while operating equipment.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some manual dexterity and occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Logistics operations is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
