Job Description

About HVAC Cowboys

HVAC Cowboys is a high-performance HVAC and construction partner specializing in high-end residential projects . We’re known for quality workmanship, clear communication, and delivering on schedule. We’re growing and looking for a proven leader to join our team and help scale operations across multiple active projects.

The Role

We’re hiring a Project Executive to lead multiple high-end residential construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This is an executive-level project management role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can manage multiple crews and timelines, and excels at client relationships, estimating, and jobsite execution.

You’ll be accountable for project performance across budget, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction —with the authority to drive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, production plans, and milestone tracking
  • Lead project kickoff, weekly coordination, and jobsite planning meetings
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and company procedures

Estimating, Budgeting & Financial Control

  • Create and refine estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and contingencies
  • Track job costs and forecasts; identify cost risks early and take corrective action
  • Review scopes, proposals, and contracts to ensure accuracy and profitability
  • Manage procurement planning and materials lead times

Change Orders & Documentation

  • Prepare, price, and present change orders with clear documentation
  • Track approvals, billing impacts, and schedule impacts
  • Maintain organized job files including RFIs, submittals, meeting notes, and closeout documents

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, builders, designers, and trade partners
  • Provide consistent updates, set expectations, and proactively resolve issues
  • Deliver a high-end customer experience—professional, responsive, and solutions-focused

Field Crew Management & Coordination

  • Direct and support field crews and project supervisors to hit production goals
  • Coordinate labor planning across multiple jobs (staffing, sequencing, quality control)
  • Monitor onsite progress, troubleshoot issues, and remove roadblocks
  • Ensure crews have the tools, materials, and information needed to execute efficiently

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of project management leadership in construction (high-end residential, custom homes, or commercial)
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and field teams concurrently
  • Strong estimating, job costing, and change order management experience
  • Excellent communication skills—client-facing professionalism is a must
  • Proficiency with project scheduling and construction documentation
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to visit jobsites regularly

Preferred

  • Experience in luxury/high-end residential construction environments
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and coordination across trades (electrical, plumbing, framing, finishes)
  • Experience building scalable processes, SOPs, and team accountability
  • Software familiarity (Service Titan, Monday, Buildertrend, Procore, MS Project, Smartsheet, Excel/Google Sheets, etc.)

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • You take ownership of active projects and establish clear schedules, budgets, and communication rhythms
  • Field crews are aligned, jobs are organized, and production is measurable
  • Change orders are processed quickly, documented cleanly, and billed accurately
  • Clients feel informed and cared for—and issues get solved before they escalate

Why HVAC Cowboys

  • Executive-level role with real ownership and influence
  • Strong pipeline of quality projects
  • Competitive compensation ($80K–$150K DOE)
  • Full benefits including 401(k) and HSA
  • Team culture built on craftsmanship, accountability, and doing what we say we’ll do
