_*We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. We have dayshift and nightshift available. Full or part time. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, ensuring their well-being, and promoting their independence. *_
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines
- Monitor and document individuals' health status and report any changes to the nurse
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary
- Engage individuals in recreational activities and promote social interaction
- Provide transportation for community outings and appointments
Requirements:
- Previous experience in patient care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to lift and assist with transferring individuals as needed
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures
- Understanding of hospice care principles is a plus
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is beneficial
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
