Position Title

Automation Developer


Role Summary

Develop, maintain, and implement automation solutions for the finance organization globally, covering robotic process automation, Power Automate, Power Platform, and other low‑code/no‑code platforms.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with analytics teams to review automation opportunities and assess feasibility for automation.
  • Ensure business processes are understood and ready for automation.
  • Participate in interviews, meetings, or workshops to define, design, and configure automation solutions.
  • Assess functional objectives and requirements of the organization.
  • Determine appropriate automation methods, analyse data, interpret results, and recommend actions.
  • Use automation to solve business strategy and performance problems and report findings.
  • Interpret analysis results and recommend actions to business partners.
  • Communicate timelines, deliverables, and progress to stakeholders regularly.
  • Document design solutions through solution‑design documents.
  • Create and document test procedures and scenarios before launching UAT.
  • Develop process automation in line with automation standards and best practices.
  • Conduct sprint validations with automation team and business stakeholders during project development.
  • Support business teams with testing including integration, end‑to‑end, and UAT activities.
  • Problem‑solve issues in daily operations, providing timely responses and solutions as required.
  • Provide proactive support for live processes, ensuring processes run as expected and troubleshooting any issues.
  • Participate in issue‑identification and resolution, including tracking, repairing, and defect reporting.
  • Communicate identified risks to leadership and provide actionable mitigation actions.
  • Support QA, audit, and migration activities as needed.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of programming experience with supply chain, finance, and administrative processes of varying scope and complexity.
  • Experience with programming (Python, R, Java, PowerShell, VB/VBA, PL/SQL, and Office365 Power Platform).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or management information systems, computer science, or related field.
  • Track record of project delivery on time and budget.
  • Ability to work independently, in teams, as lead participant and take on complex assignments.
  • Additional preferences: experience with systems development lifecycle and structured programming, including requirements definition, solution design, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations support, and maintenance.
  • RPA Bot development experience with Automation Anywhere.
  • Experience with MS PowerApps, PowerBI, SharePoint Online.
  • Familiarity with chatbot, OCR, and other emerging technologies.

  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of workflow‑based logic and ability to read diagrams or procedural documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to build relationships with end users, peers, management, and third parties.
  • Ability to prioritise, schedule, and complete development and testing across overlapping programs.
  • Excellent facilitation skills working with internal and external parties.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a busy, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Proactive, persistent, and dependable.
  • Excellent time‑management skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, thorough.
  • Creative and flexible.
