Medforce are proud to be working alongside a well recognised private Healthcare company that is Irish owned and the provider of essential disability services, Through the provision of residential day and community based services, they support over 300 people with Autism, intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities and people with Prader Willi Syndrome.


As a Senior Positive Behaviour Support Specialist, the post holder willoffer a high-quality person-centred Positive Behaviour Support service to the people my client support.


This includes providing leadership, training, coaching and mentoring to our staff, families and carers, and other external stakeholders and organisations to enable the people we support to participate in their communities and live the lives they choose.


The Senior Behaviour Support Specialist will work closely with the Clinical Services Manager regarding all of the above and be work in the below locations.

Locations: Leinster (Laois, Kildare, Meath, Louth)


This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of working from home and travelling to service locations. Any expenses incorporated will be refunded.


Responsibilities

  • Support all Behaviour Support Practitioners employed by Resilience Healthcare in their roles. Provide clinical supervision, support caseload management and identify individual and group training requirements.
  • Contribute to review and develop relevant policies, procedures, process, and best practice guidance in consultation with the team and Clinical Services Manager.
  • Review plans created by core level Behaviour Support practitioners.
  • Review practitioner capability of Behaviour Support practitioners.
  • Provide regular clinical supervision as needed with preference for supervision that meets requirements for the Psychological Society of Ireland.
  • Oversee the provision of Positive Support Training for all staff.
  • Ensure all Behaviour Support Specialists conduct detailed behavioural assessments and analyses for service users.
  • Ensure that evidence-based intervention plans are tailored to unique needs.
  • Ensure that all Behaviour Support Specialists employed by Resilience Healthcare adhere to stringent professional and ethical benchmarks.
  • Provide supervision and guiding team members, ensuring they deliver the highest standards of professional care and conduct.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Clinical Services Manager, keeping them up to date with all relevant information as deemed appropriate and agreed.
  • Work as part of the Clinical Services team and the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure all elements of positive behaviour support approaches are delivered as per best practise. xcfaprz

Requirements

  • Master’s level in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support or equivalent
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst or Chartered Behavioural Psychologist; desired but not essential
  • Be experienced in the area of Positive Behaviour Support
  • Have good experience of working as a behavioural support therapist/specialist with adults/children with disabilities, carrying out functional assessments and developing positive behaviour support plans in conjunction with the person/family/staff teams (3+ years)
  • Be experienced in delivering training, such as positive behaviour support and Safety Intervention training
  • Have strong experience of working collaboratively as part of a clinical team
  • Be knowledgeable about Trauma informed care approaches as a core component of their work and ethics
  • Full driving licence and their own vehicle
