Principal Software Engineer

This is another role with our exclusive start-up partner in the AI Infrastructure space. They are continuing to expand their team with the search for a principal level software engineer who specialises in SDN and Networking.

It's a chance to help build the networking backbone of next‑generation AI infrastructure. We’re looking for a hands‑on engineer to design the software‑defined systems that power a global, high‑performance platform.

• 
  
• Build SDN + automation tooling that controls multi‑datacenter networks
  
• Develop Go/Python services for IPAM, routing, telemetry, and fabric automation
  
• Create APIs that make networking fully programmable
  
• Ingest and analyse real‑time telemetry for observability
  
• Partner with infra + SRE to ship reliable, elegant automation at scale
  

• 
  
• Deep networking knowledge (BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, overlays)
  
• Experience with programmable network platforms and cloud‑native design
  
• Comfort working across hardware + software layers
  
• A systems mindset, curiosity, and a drive to simplify complex infrastructure
  

• 
  
• eBPF, DPUs, SmartNICs
