Network Security Architect

Ergo are seeking a Network Security Architect for a long-term contract in North Dublin.

The successful candidate will provide design, planning, analysis, and implementation of security initiatives as well as 3rd Level technical network support and architecture services to both internal and external customers.

You will be responsible for the design, analysis, investigation, and resolution of network & security related service issues.

This is a hybrid role requiring an onsite presence 3 days per week. Candidates should have CISSP and / or CCIE certifications.

What will you do?

• Become technical lead for Cyber Security projects delivering Network related Security Initiatives on a critical 24x7 Operations Network.
• Develop and implement network designs to ensure scalability, resilience, and security of network services to the business.
• Design and implement enterprise datacentre networks using ACI fabric design, including tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, and EPGs.
• Configure and manage Cisco NGFW features such as IPS, Security Intelligence, Portscan Detection and Encrypted Visibility Engine (EVE)
• Perform Firewall lifecycle management including upgrades, policy optimisation, and health monitoring.
• Develop secure network segmentation strategies aligned with zero-trust principles.
• Design, deploy, and optimise application delivery using Citrix Netscaler, including L4-L7 load balancing, WAF, content switching, and traffic steering.
• Implement high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies for critical applications.
• Collaborate with application teams to ensure performance, resilience, and secure traffic flows.

What do you need?

• Previous experience in a similar role
• CCIE and/or CISSP
• Excellent working knowledge of networking protocols and topologies is essential.
• Security Architecture Design & Implementation
• Excellent working knowledge of network management and administration tools.
• Identity & Access Management (I&AM), Cybersecurity
• Proficiency with automation tools (Python, Ansible, REST APIs). xcfaprz
• Excellent working knowledge of TCP/IP, Cisco firewalls, LAN. WAN, VPN systems.
• Threat Management & Vulnerability Assessment
• Good working knowledge of ITIL practices in relation to Change and continual improvement
