Tender Animator \ 4 D Planner

Collen Construction is seeking a highly driven Tender Animator / 4D Planner to support our preconstruction and bid activities. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for visual storytelling, digital construction, and translating complex delivery strategies into clear, compelling motion. You will turn programs and design information into visual narratives that show clients exactly how we will build their project — stage‑by‑stage, risk‑aware, and achievable.

• Core Skill Set
  
• Familiarity with major planning or modelling tools: P6, MS Project, Revit, Navisworks, IFC workflows
  
• Solid grasp of construction phasing and logistics — even if still developing on the software side
  
• Ability to tell the story of project delivery clearly
  
• Strong attention to accuracy, realism, and client clarity
  
• Desired Experience
  
• 2+ years in one of the following:
  
• Exposure to large‑scale construction projects (data centres, pharma, industrial, commercial, residential) is an advantage
  
• Experience with preconstruction or tender preparation is desirable, not mandatory
  
• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating sequencing or animation is highly valuable
  

Reporting to the Senior Preconstruction Planner / Bid Director, your key responsibilities for the role will include, but not limited to the following:

• 
  
• Develop 4D tender animations aligning construction sequencing with design models and programmes
  
• Build visual simulations that reflect logistics, phasing, access, commissioning, trade interfaces, and client constraints
  
• Interpret programme logic from planners and convert into structured visual timelines
  
• Integrate 3D/BIM models, construction drawings, and staging plans into coherent animations
  
• Work with planners, bid teams, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and realism
  
• Produce short, clear visual explainers for stakeholder presentations and tender interviews
  
• Maintain version control and a structured digital workflow for iterative bid changes
  
• Provide visual support for technical narratives, methodology documents, and procurement strategies
  
• Support and mentor other VDC team members
  

• 
  
• 4D tender animations for major bids across Europe
  
• Visual simulations of logistics routes, laydown zones, tower crane movements, and commissioning windows
  
• Stage‑by‑stage storytelling for interviews, client workshops, and internal decision reviews
  
• Translation of early designs into delivery pathways that are believable and professional
  

• 
  
• Experience with tools such as Synchro, Navisworks Timeliner, Twinmotion, Unreal, Revit, Blender, Lumion, or similar
  
• Able to manage geometry, staging, and animation timelines to tell a project delivery story
  
• Strong eye for clarity and communication
  
• Planner or Engineer who thinks visually: You understand how jobs are built, staged, and sequenced.
  
• You can turn that logic into simple visuals and animations (even if you’re still learning the software).
  
• You know what is actual buildability vs theoretical design staging
  
• You can show clients how we will deliver in practical, real‑world terms.
