About the role

Area Support Manager


Contract: Full time, 1 Year Fixed Term


Location: Home Based – Travel across ROI required


Salary: €48,000 - €55,000 plus Sodexo Benefits


We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Area Support Manager to support the mobilisation, stabilisation and ongoing development of a newly established PPP contract within the Schools and Universities sector. This is a hands‑on role where you will work closely with the Contract Manager and operational teams to drive performance, enhance service delivery and ensure full contractual and statutory compliance across six sites in the Republic of Ireland. Flexibility to travel is essential. You will also provide on‑site Facilities Management cover when required, offering practical leadership and operational support.


Key Responsibilities

Operations



  • Support the Contract Manager in delivering optimal service performance across all sites.
  • Provide Facilities Management cover and operational support when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory and contractual obligations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing service delivery plans aligned to contract requirements.
  • Support supply chain management, including procurement review and contract renewals.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and operational teams.

Client Management



  • Develop a thorough understanding of client specifications and ensure these are reflected in service delivery.
  • Attend client meetings as required, recording minutes and tracking actions.
  • Identify and propose value‑added service opportunities.
  • Maintain a professional, positive and solutions‑focused approach with clients and colleagues.

Financial Management



  • Support budget control and cost management across sites.
  • Ensure services are delivered efficiently while protecting profitability.
  • Utilise nominated suppliers and approved procurement processes.

Business Improvement



  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the contract.
  • Identify opportunities to improve labour productivity and operational efficiency.

About You

  • Experience within FM, Construction or Maintenance environments (Facilities Manager or Assistant level preferred)
  • Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Conflict resolution experience
  • Broad commercial awareness and business acumen
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification
  • Strong organisational and data management skills
  • Positive, adaptable and resilient mindset
