Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to join our transportation operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring shipments, tracking driver progress, and ensuring accurate communication between drivers, dispatchers, brokers, and customers.

This role is essential to maintaining on-time deliveries and providing real-time shipment updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and monitor shipments from pickup to delivery

• Communicate with drivers to confirm load status and location updates

• Provide regular shipment updates to brokers, customers, and dispatch team

• Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries by monitoring driver progress

• Report delays, issues, or schedule changes to the operations team

• Update tracking information in dispatch software or transportation management systems

• Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation

• Assist dispatch team with operational updates when required

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking operations preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple shipments and drivers simultaneously

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability

• Comfortable using computers, dispatch software, and spreadsheets

• Experience with load boards or transportation software is an asset
