Elementary Intermediate Teacher

POSITION: Intermediate Teacher

ASSIGNMENT: French Immersion (Gr 4-5)

FTE: 1.0

LOCATION: École Red Bluff Lhtako

EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2025 and continuing

Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch AND possesses one or more of the following:

Training Specialization: Elementary Education with a specialization in French Immersion - Intermediate Level

Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching French Immersion at the Intermediate Level

A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff

Additional Qualifications:

• Fluency in English/French oral/written applicant must be willing to take a language proficiency test oral and written

Other:

• Proficiency in written and oral communication in French
• Willingness to have an interview in French with the District's French Language Coordinator
• Willingness to work as part of a team in the development and implementation of the School Growth Plan
• Willingness to work as a member of the school-based team
• Willingness to support whole school environmental initiatives
• Commitment to school-wide Positive Behaviour Support program as a form of addressing behaviour in the classroom and the school as a whole
• Fluent English and French Speaker
• Willingness to support the school plan for student success
• Willingness to work as part of the school-based team to implement plans for all students
• A portion of the interview may be conducted in French

The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
