Job Summary

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily operations, coordinating project logistics, and ensuring effective communication between field crews, management, and subcontractors. This role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency, safety compliance, and timely project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule field crews, equipment, and materials for multiple projects.
  • Track employee hours, including union, non-union, and probationary staff, and ensure accurate reporting for payroll and remittance purposes.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation, including site reports, timesheets, and equipment logs.
  • Assist with procurement and inventory management for tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Communicate with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors to resolve operational issues and streamline workflows.
  • Support safety compliance by tracking site inspections, training, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare weekly operational reports and summaries for management review.
  • Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, and expense reconciliation for projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce delays.


Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in construction operations, project coordination, or field supervision—experience with noise barriers or shoring systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software; familiarity with ADP or payroll systems an asset.
  • Knowledge of unionized and non-union construction work environments preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Licence G (Required)

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with field staff, management, and clients.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards.


Work Conditions

  • Work performed on active construction sites in varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional travel outside the GTA may be required.
  • Occasional night work may be required with Premium night shift pay
  • Standard hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Safety equipment provided.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • $69,000-$78,000 commensurate with qualifications
  • Weekly pay
