Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Logistics Supervisor for an on-site role based in Brantford, ON. The Logistics Supervisor will oversee daily operations, supervise team members, and ensure efficient inventory management. The role involves coordinating supply chain activities, monitoring deliveries, maintaining optimal stock levels, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting logistical challenges and collaborating with various departments to optimize operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking, and materials management
  • Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management system (WMS) to optimize logistics workflows
  • Coordinate procurement activities, sourcing, and pricing strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
  • Manage freight arrangements and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL)
  • Implement process improvements utilizing data analysis skills to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Oversee inventory accuracy through CMMS, ERP systems such as AS400, and other warehouse software tools
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards related to forklift operation, packaging, and warehouse procedures
  • Collaborate with demand planning teams to align supply chain activities with forecasted needs
  • Monitor shipping & delivery schedules to meet customer expectations for order fulfillment
  • Maintain documentation related to transportation, procurement, and warehouse activities for audit purposes

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse distribution, supply chain management, or logistics supervision
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems
  • Experience with procurement, sourcing, pricing strategies, and demand planning
  • Familiarity with freight logistics, 3PL partnerships, shipping & receiving processes, and order fulfillment procedures
  • Proficiency in data analysis skills for process improvement initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS software and materials management practices
  • Ability to operate or oversee forklift operations safely; warehouse experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and process documentation
  • Strong communication skills for team leadership and cross-department collaboration
