Freelance Copywriter

This is a 8-week, full-time freelance opportunity.

JOB PURPOSE

We’re looking for a freelance Copywriter to support ongoing digital marketing and lifecycle initiatives for a global brand. This role focuses on developing engaging, conversion-focused copy across multiple channels to reach both new and existing customer audiences.

Working closely with DEPT’s creative teams and client stakeholders, you’ll help shape and deliver consistent messaging while contributing to the ongoing evolution of the brand’s tone of voice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write clear, engaging, and conversion-focused copy across email, social, in-app, onsite, paid media, and additional digital channels.
• Own and develop messaging across campaigns and customer touchpoints.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to bring creative briefs to life.
• Edit, refine, and enhance AI-generated content to ensure quality, clarity, and brand alignment.
• Contribute to establishing and evolving brand tone of voice and messaging nuances.
• Ensure consistency across all communications and platforms.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Provide copy variations and messaging solutions that support performance goals.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience writing digital and marketing copy across multiple platforms.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating brand storytelling and conversion-focused writing.
• Experience developing or maintaining tone of voice frameworks.
• Ability to balance creativity with performance objectives.
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with AI-assisted content workflows.
• Experience collaborating within agency or client-facing environments preferred.
