We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and integrity within our Los Angeles, California warehouse. This critical role ensures the efficient flow of goods and supports our complex logistics operations. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve stock accuracy. A thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential, as is the ability to analyze data and identify trends. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong commitment to safety standards. While not involving constant heavy lifting , the role may require occasional movement of inventory up to 50 lbs. Adherence to all PPE requirements is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO, LIFO) as applicable.
- Ensure efficient put-away and retrieval processes.
- Coordinate with procurement and shipping departments on inventory needs.
- Develop and deliver training on inventory control best practices.
- Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness in inventory areas.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE .
- Assist with receiving and auditing incoming shipments.
- Support logistics planning and execution related to inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or management within a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE .
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
