We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Miami, Florida distribution center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse. Your expertise is crucial for maintaining the flow of inventory and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes. We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards, and all operators are expected to adhere strictly to our safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires precision, reliability, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers efficiently and safely.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Perform routine pre-shift inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts, reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including traffic rules within the warehouse.
- Follow all guidelines for the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including charging stations and equipment storage.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to all PPE requirements.
