We have an opening for an Order Picker in Des Moines, Iowa! Join our dedicated team and contribute to the efficient handling of customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving products within our warehouse to fulfill outgoing shipments. This role is crucial for our **Logistics** operations and requires a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to **Safety**. We provide comprehensive training and all required **PPE** to ensure you can perform your duties effectively and securely. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order specifications.
- Utilize handheld scanners to track picked items and update inventory.
- Ensure the correct items and quantities are selected for each order.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, prioritizing **Safety**.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all **Safety** protocols.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment with caution.
- Assist in receiving and stocking duties when necessary.
- Follow all company **Logistics** procedures.
- Wear and properly use all required **PPE**, including **Safety** vests and footwear.
- Report any **Safety** hazards or operational issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity for **Lifting** up to 40 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Safety** procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with **Logistics** terminology and processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Comfortable using RF scanning technology.
- Must be willing to wear required **PPE**.
