We are looking for a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is vital for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our **Logistics** operations. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and maximize accuracy. A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach are key to success in this position. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain operational excellence. **Safety** in all aspects of inventory management is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and generate reorder reports.
- Implement and enforce **Safety** protocols related to inventory handling.
- Track the movement of goods within the facility.
- Identify and report damaged or obsolete inventory.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper stock placement.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all **PPE** is used correctly and readily available for staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related **Logistics** role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including **Lifting** up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Safety** procedures.
- Familiarity with **PPE** requirements in a warehouse setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues.
