We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing cycle counting procedures, and ensuring that our inventory data is precise and up-to-date. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS). Your work will directly impact operational efficiency and financial accuracy within our Logistics operations. A commitment to upholding high standards of Safety and accuracy is essential. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts of warehouse stock.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to prevent loss and damage.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting key trends and issues.
- Work closely with warehouse operations to ensure accurate put-away, picking, and shipping processes.
- Maintain organized and accessible inventory records.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of all materials, including the use of necessary PPE .
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as reaching, stooping, and occasional Lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory best practices.
