We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Technician in Sacramento, California. This role is critical for maintaining the functionality and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all operational equipment meets safety standards. This position requires a blend of technical skill and warehouse awareness, playing a key role in our overall logistics operations. The ability to work with various tools and potentially perform some lifting will be necessary. Adherence to strict PPE guidelines is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse machinery, including conveyors, sorters, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory safety standards.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and emergency repair needs.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Support the warehouse team by ensuring equipment reliability, which is vital for effective logistics .
- Handle tasks that may involve some manual labor, including occasional moderate lifting .
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and automated systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and tools.
- Commitment to upholding high safety standards in all work performed.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be capable of wearing required PPE and working in various warehouse conditions.
- Physical ability to perform repairs, which may include climbing, kneeling, and lifting .
- Understanding of how equipment reliability impacts logistics efficiency.
