We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist in Nashville, Tennessee! This position is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include performing cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring that our inventory management system is up-to-date. You will play a key role in optimizing stock levels, reducing errors, and improving the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and proficiency with inventory management software. A proactive attitude towards process improvement and a commitment to maintaining a highly organized and accurate inventory are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile any variances between system data and physical stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with receiving, picking, and shipping teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor and report on key inventory metrics such as accuracy rate and shrinkage.
- Uphold all Safety standards in inventory handling and storage.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is used when handling inventory.
- Support the broader logistics team with inventory-related tasks.
While this role primarily focuses on data accuracy, some moderate lifting of inventory items may be required. A thorough understanding of warehouse logistics and a dedication to precision are key attributes for success.
