We are hiring a reliable Shipping Clerk to join our fast-paced logistics team in San Jose, California. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This involves preparing shipping documents, packaging orders, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining a tidy shipping area. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Verify order details against packed items.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping workspace.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and box sealers.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with all logistics and shipping regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar warehouse role.
- Basic computer proficiency for shipping software.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with standard shipping carriers and processes.
- Commitment to safety and use of PPE.
