We are seeking an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk for our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring all outbound products leave our facility accurately and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with various carriers, and meticulously tracking outgoing orders. Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage all necessary shipping documents, including manifests, bills of lading, and airbills.
- Conduct thorough checks to ensure order accuracy and proper packaging before dispatch.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL) for timely pickups.
- Operate shipping equipment such as barcode scanners, scales, and printers.
- Maintain precise records of all shipped items, including tracking numbers and destination details.
- Proactively communicate with internal teams and clients regarding shipment status and potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company Shipping policies.
- Implement and enforce warehouse Safety protocols, ensuring the correct use of PPE by all personnel involved in shipping.
- Assist with inventory tasks and reporting as needed to support overall warehouse efficiency.
- Handle any issues related to shipments, such as damages or shortages, promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Shipping Clerk, logistics coordinator, or similar role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with shipping software (e.g., ShipStation, WorldShip) and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous approach to documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of freight terminology and shipping methods.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the ability to enforce procedures.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve moderate Lifting.
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE.
