Our New York City, New York location is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist. This crucial role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing processes to minimize stock errors and optimize **Logistics**. A strong commitment to **Safety** and adherence to established procedures are essential for success in this position. The Inventory Control Specialist will work closely with warehouse staff and management to maintain efficient operations and support overall business objectives. Responsibilities include:
- Performing regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records in our WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implementing and enforcing **Safety** procedures related to inventory handling.
- Coordinating with receiving and shipping departments to ensure timely and accurate inventory movements.
- Managing the return process and ensuring accurate credit processing.
- **Lifting** and moving items as necessary during audits.
- Ensuring all personnel are using the correct **PPE**.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of inventory management principles, and proficiency with WMS software. A background in **Logistics** or supply chain management is highly preferred. You must be highly organized, accurate, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. A keen eye for detail and a dedication to maintaining high standards of accuracy and **Safety** are critical.
