We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our facility in Provo, Utah. This role is essential for managing outgoing shipments and ensuring that all orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time. You will be a key part of our logistics team, contributing to the efficient movement of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify that outgoing shipments match order details.
- Package and label outgoing shipments correctly to prevent damage and ensure proper delivery.
- Operate shipping software and systems.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Communicate with other departments to resolve any shipping discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when necessary.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly shipping area.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is a plus.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a similar administrative role within logistics.
- Proficiency in using computers and standard office software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
