Our expanding **logistics** operation in Washington, D.C. is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate to contribute to our efficient workflow. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in managing inventory, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining the integrity of our warehouse space. The Warehouse Associate will perform essential functions such as receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping a wide range of products. Strong physical stamina and the ability to manage significant **lifting** are necessary for success in this position. We prioritize workplace **safety**, and all team members are required to adhere to strict guidelines and utilize the provided **PPE**. This includes safety glasses, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Opportunities for training on equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks will be available for qualified candidates. You will work closely with a team to ensure that all deadlines are met and customer orders are processed with speed and accuracy. We are committed to creating a productive and secure environment for all our employees. Key duties include:
- Verifying and documenting the quantity and type of merchandise received
- Storing merchandise in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization
- Selecting and preparing merchandise for shipment according to order specifications
- Loading outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles
- Conducting regular inventory checks to maintain accuracy
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse floor and storage areas
- Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
- Participating in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
