We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods through our logistics network. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining productivity, optimizing workflows, and upholding our high standards for safety and accuracy. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a team. You will play a key role in the overall success of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits.
- Optimize space utilization and warehouse layout.
- Liaise with other departments and external logistics partners.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within logistics is required. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control is essential. Must possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Physical ability to perform lifting up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods may be necessary. A deep understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE is mandatory. We are looking for a results-oriented individual who can drive performance and foster a positive team culture.
