We are hiring a Material Handler for our busy warehouse in Chicago, Illinois. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our Logistics processes, involving the movement, organization, and tracking of materials within the facility. We need individuals who are physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. If you have experience with material handling equipment and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support production and shipping departments with material needs.
- Contribute to team efforts and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Material Handler or similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and frequent Lifting of up to 70 lbs.
- Familiarity with various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Logistics environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
