We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin! In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our logistics facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to various departments, and assisting with order fulfillment. A strong focus on Safety and accuracy is paramount. You will work with a variety of equipment and be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area. This position is crucial to the smooth operation of our supply chain. You must adhere to all Safety protocols and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves significant physical activity, including frequent standing, walking, and regular Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other conveyances.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, or shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management and record-keeping.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize all required PPE.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of material handling equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
