We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your speed, accuracy, and attention to detail are paramount to our logistics success and ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order tickets or RF scanner prompts.
- Ensure all picked items match the order specifications.
- Stage picked items appropriately for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks or other basic material handling equipment as required.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Familiarity with RF scanners is a plus.
- Must be able to perform frequent Lifting and bending.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
