Are you a hardworking individual with a passion for efficient warehouse operations? We are hiring a Material Handler for our bustling facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be instrumental in the movement and organization of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment. Your dedication to safety and efficiency will be key to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to and from designated areas.
- Stage materials for production or shipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance goals.
