Job Summary:
Join our thriving logistics hub in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate. This integral role involves managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipping and receiving operations. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, staging outgoing orders, and preparing them for dispatch. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining organized warehouse spaces are essential. This position is key to our supply chain management, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our logistics network. You will work collaboratively with a team to meet daily targets and uphold our high standards of service.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming freight from trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents.
  • Inspect goods for damage upon arrival and report discrepancies.
  • Accurately receive, record, and store incoming inventory using the WMS.
  • Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring correct items and quantities.
  • Load trucks for outgoing deliveries, organizing freight efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and proficiently.
  • Maintain an organized and clean shipping and receiving area.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 60 lbs, on a regular basis.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and the proper use of PPE.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
