Our Richmond, Virginia distribution center is looking for efficient and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our dedicated logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and expertly packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail ensures customer satisfaction and the integrity of our supply chain. We maintain a strong focus on employee Safety, providing comprehensive training, necessary PPE, and enforcing all Safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated locations within the warehouse using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages accurately for shipment and ensure all necessary documentation is attached.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock put-away duties.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE correctly and consistently.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as directed to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to handle moderate physical demands, including frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both picking and packing.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe work environment and the proper use of PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
