We are looking for a diligent Picker/Packer to join our bustling warehouse facility in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders with speed and accuracy. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from shelves based on order lists, carefully packing these items for shipment, and ensuring that all orders are prepared correctly. This role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We prioritize the Safety of our employees and provide necessary PPE, along with comprehensive training on safe work practices. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment and ensure all necessary documentation is attached.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory and order status.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse cleanliness.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock put-away.
- Understand and follow all warehouse Safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to handle moderate physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of items up to 35 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and consistent use of PPE.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as business needs dictate.
