In this essential role, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently navigate the warehouse, select the correct items from inventory, and prepare them for dispatch. This position demands precision, speed, and a strong commitment to maintaining order accuracy. - Retrieve ordered items from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Verify order accuracy by checking item numbers and quantities against pick lists.
- Use RF scanners or other handheld devices to record picked items.
- Ensure products are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Stage picked orders for the packing department.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and regulations, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet performance metrics.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or operational challenges to supervisors.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret pick tickets and navigate warehouse layouts.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding and adherence to safety best practices in a logistics environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
