Seeking a hardworking Material Handler to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is integral to our warehouse operations, involving the movement and organization of materials to support our logistics and distribution functions. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. Your efforts will directly impact the efficiency of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory accurately.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments or internal transfers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all company standards.
- Operate warehouse machinery safely and effectively, adhering to operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues promptly.
- Assist in conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain objectives through efficient material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a warehouse or material handling capacity is beneficial.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts is a significant advantage.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Understanding and strict adherence to safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential for this logistics role.
