The Comms Capture team is responsible for Gong’s core data – the data pipeline that ingests and captures customer interactions from external communication systems (emails, calendars, phone/web conferencing calls, texts). These pipelines are online, are used by all of the company’s customers, and form the basis for a wide range of Gong’s products, serving thousands of customers and constantly impacting Gong’s user base to become raving fans of our product.

• Lead and expand a growing team of backend and frontend engineers.
  
• Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  
• Collaborate closely with the Product Managers to shape the team’s roadmap, balancing both product goals and engineering priorities.
  
• Lead by example, driving continuous improvement and optimization of the team’s products and infrastructure.
  
• Design and architect long‑term technical solutions that deliver a significant impact on both our wide platform and customers.
  
• Coach, mentor, hire, and grow individuals on the team to reach their full potential.

• Previous experience leading and developing growing teams.
  
• Proven industry experience as a Senior software engineer.
  
• Strong technical background focusing on large‑scale, cloud‑based web applications.
  
• Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (advantage).
  
• Experience with user‑facing products (advantage).
  
• Holding a degree in computer science or a similar field (preferred).
  
• Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
  
• Most importantly, a passion for motivating, mentoring, and cultivating people.
