Are you a seasoned commercial professional looking to make a significant impact in the energy sector? Our client, a leading energy contractor with a global presence, is seeking a dynamic Commercial Lead to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects in substation, power generation, and grid connection.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion in alignment with company objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the preparation and presentation of compelling proposals, bids, and presentations to win new projects and contracts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and foster strategic partnerships.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate business development activities, track key performance indicators, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development within the Substation, Grid Connection, or Power Construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and customer requirements.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets and deadlines.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
