Team Lead

St. Christopher's Service provides a comprehensive, efficient, and innovative service to people with intellectual disabilities. It is a high quality, community-based service, based on identified individualised needs, enabling service users to reach their fullest potential. We are looking for staff who are committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our mission and national standards, underpinned by quality and best practice and research.

We have an opportunity for a Team within our Residential and Respite Service. The successful candidates will maintain the highest attainable standards of person-centred care, to promote optimum independence and choice, and to enhance the quality of life of the Service User in all aspects of daily living within a regulated framework. The Team Leader role is a developmental opportunity for staff who are looking to progress into a PIC role. The role will manage and co-ordinate the safe and effective provision of quality care in Our Residential or Respite Services and mentored by the PIC, with PPIM oversite.

• Possess a BA (Ord) in Social Care Practice (Level 7 on the QQI framework) with Coru registration
  
• Be registered in the Intellectual Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered

• Relevant experience working with persons with an Intellectual Disability
  
• Knowledge xcfaprz and experience of the residential, social and recreational needs of persons with an Intellectual Disability
  
• Knowledge and experience of advocacy and individual personal plans/person centred planning
  
• Experience of taking the lead in a relevant unit/centre
  
• Management experience desirable but not essential
