We are seeking an experienced OEM Automation Engineer with strong Siemens automation expertise to support a major site expansion project within a regulated manufacturing environment.


This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced automation technologies across clean utility systems, manufacturing, and packaging operations, supporting projects from design through commissioning and start-up.


The successful candidate will take ownership of automation system design, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards while supporting integration with higher-level enterprise systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide automation expertise and technical guidance to multi-disciplinary project teams delivering projects across Vial/Syringe Filling Lines, Packaging, and Production environments
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC and HMI systems
  • Support the integration of automation systems with MES and PCS platforms
  • Develop, review, and approve automation documentation including User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), and related engineering documentation
  • Manage and provide technical oversight to Clean Utilities OEM vendors
  • Execute IOQ protocols and support start-up activities in compliance with GAMP5 and 21 CFR Part 11 / Annex 11
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and compliant automation solutions for Clean Utilities systems
  • Ensure adherence to corporate automation standards and automation blueprints while aligning with local project requirements
  • Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations throughout project execution

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Physics & Instrumentation, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in automation engineering within biopharmaceutical or GMP-regulated manufacturing xcfaprz environments
  • Proven hands‑on expertise with Siemens PLC platforms, with experience in HMI and SCADA systems
  • Experience working with Clean Utilities equipment and systems
  • Strong knowledge of GAMP lifecycle, ANSI/ISA‑S88 and S95 standards, and 21 CFR Part 11 / EU Annex 11
  • Working knowledge of industrial network architectures, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, and domain integration
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week
  • Self‑motivated, organised, and capable of working independently with strong problem‑solving skills
